The Energy and Climate Day 2024 <\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p><\/h3><\/div>

The Energy and Climate Day 2024<\/strong> (Energie- und Klimatag<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/a>) will take place on September 21 from 10 AM to 4 PM along the main street and at the church square in Heiligenhaus. In its second edition, the event focuses on key topics such as climate and environmental protection, sustainability, renewable energies, energy-efficient renovations and mobility, aiming to show how every individual can contribute.<\/p>\n

As part of the diverse program<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/a> on climate, environmental protection and sustainability, Green City Solutions with the “Bio-Moss Filters CityTree, CityBreeze, WallBreeze” will be featured. Our team member, Patrick Sch\u00fclke, will welcome you on-site, near the \u201cBreathing Walls of Heiligenhaus\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/a>– These innovative air filters and coolers were installed in May last year because, as Andreas Sauerwein, the city\u2019s technical councilor, stated at the time, \u201cWe need to do something to address and adapt to climate change\u201d. “Get ready for a diverse program and experience hands-on climate protection!”<\/a> In addition to numerous exhibitors, the City of Heiligenhaus will offer a colorful children\u2019s program, musical performances, and presentations on stage, along with various culinary delights. Following the opening by Mayor Michael Beck, attendees can look forward to two key highlights: a visit from the Minister of Environment, Nature Conservation, and Transportation of North Rhine-Westphalia, Oliver Krischer<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/a>, and a panel discussion on climate protection with local political representatives, moderated by radio host Anna Tefert<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Last year, the first Energy and Climate Day in Heiligenhaus was introduced as \u201cone of the major initiatives of the Climate Protection Plan”<\/a>. This year\u2019s event will be held in conjunction with the European Mobility Week<\/strong><\/em><\/a>. As the German Environmental Protection Agency (Umweltbundesamt<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/a>) notes, the \u201cEuropean Mobility Week\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/a> is launched by the European Commission and is “the world’s largest campaign for sustainable mobility”<\/a>.<\/p>\n
