Where public procurement meets green innovation<\/strong><\/p><\/h3><\/div>

The second Cottbus Procurement Conference (Cottbuser Vergabekonferenz)<\/a><\/em><\/strong> at the historic Weltspiegel offered \u201eblockbuster-level action for public contracts\u201c<\/a> \u2013 and, for us at Green City Solutions, a valuable platform to discuss sustainable urban development, better air quality and more liveable neighbourhoods. Around 300 participants, some 200 planned tenders and an estimated total volume of one billion euros<\/a> created a setting that the Cottbus Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK Cottbus<\/a><\/em><\/strong>) aptly described as a \u201eprocurement blockbuster in Cottbuss\u201c<\/a><\/strong> with a line-up<\/a> that was \u201eworthy of a Bambi award<\/a>r.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Public procurement: A conference for more transparency<\/strong><\/h5>\n

The event was organised by EGC Entwicklungsgesellschaft Cottbus mbH<\/a><\/em><\/strong>, the
\nIndustrie\u2011 und Handelskammer Cottbus<\/a><\/em><\/strong>, Handwerkskammer Cottbus<\/a><\/em><\/strong>, Wirtschaftsf\u00f6rderung Brandenburg<\/a><\/em><\/strong> with support from CIT \u2013 Wirtschaftsf\u00f6rderung Spree\u2011Nei\u00dfe<\/a><\/em><\/strong> and MinGenTec \u2013 Mining & Generation Technology<\/a><\/em><\/strong>.
\nTheir stated goal: \u201eto make procurement processes more transparent and to specifically strengthen regional businesses\u201c.<\/a><\/p>\n

At the conference, the City of Cottbus, the Spree-Nei\u00dfe district and municipal companies presented around 200 planned tenders with a total volume of approximately one billion euros.<\/a><\/p>\n

Procurement decisions of this magnitude play a key role in shaping how we will live in our urban spaces in the future!<\/p>\n
