“Urban Conservation and Biodiversity: How Can Cities Become Thriving Ecosystems Again?”

German Sustainability Day – German Sustainability Award

At the 17th German Sustainability Day (17. Deutscher Nachhaltigkeitstag), on November 28-29, 2024, the prestigious German Sustainability Award (Deutscher Nachhaltigkeitspreis) will not only be presented, but attendees can also look forward to an engaging program featuring keynote speeches, interviews, pitches, panel discussions, and interactive dialogue forums.

On November 28, from 3:30 to 5:00 pm, Judith Rakers will lead the session TransMission “Biodiversity as a Business Model – Making Conservation a Sustainable Investment” in the “Düsseldorf” hall at the Maritim Hotel Düsseldorf. In this session, experts will discuss innovative ideas and successful strategies for biodiversity conservation and demonstrate how companies can leverage biodiversity as a competitive advantage.

Our CEO and co-founder Peter Sänger, along with Wuppertal’s Mayor Uwe Schneidewind, will delve into the topics of urban biodiversity and climate resilience. They will explore initiatives that can make cities more climate-resilient and species-rich, discussing how innovative ideas and effective strategies in biodiversity conservation can benefit both nature and business.

“I am very much looking forward to discussing biodiversity at the German Sustainability Award”, says our CEO and co-founder Peter Sänger.
“Preserving biodiversity is a monumental task that has not yet received enough attention, making it all the more important to talk about it.”

It’s exciting and rewarding in more ways than one, as we are not only participating in this year’s Sustainability Day congress but are also nominated for the German Sustainability Award in the Advertising and PR category.
