More than a breath of fresh air: Working together to improve visitor comfort — since 2022
More than a breath of fresh air: In November 2022, three multifunctional CityBreeze units were installed in cooperation with EDEKA Handelsgesellschaft Nord mbH at theWarnow Park Rostock. Since then, the innovative systems have been providing tangible benefits for visitors and tenants by improving ambient conditions in a natural way.
Anchored partnership on the Warnow
The partnership between Green City Solutions, the Warnow Park center management represented by Center Manager Frank Middendorf, and the on-site EDEKA Nord has been characterised by continuity and close coordination. Under the motto “Moving more together”, all parties have worked closely since installation more than four years ago — with clear communication, mutual support for events and promotions, and fast decision-making. Grow togehter: The centre management plays a key role in integrating innovations on site and promoting events that attract visitors to the park.

Well-being on the Warnow: sustainable benefits for EDEKA Nord and Rostock
CityBreeze improves air quality in busy locations such as popular shopping destinations. It creates more pleasant places to spend time and helps make the centre more attractive. Around the digital information points, genuine fresh-air oases with a forest scent invite visitors to pause—a fresh breeze where you might least expect it.
Shortly after the installation, Frank Middendorf said: “Our visitors enjoy using the integrated seating, the digital display works really well, and the units support our sustainability and environmental strategy. It’s a genuinely smart, multi-purpose solution.”
For the local EDEKA store and visitors to Warnow Park, this means better conditions for customers, greater visibility for promotions and a modern setting for offers. The result is welcoming places to spend time, with clean, cool air and a relaxed atmosphere — a clear contribution to the visitor experience and footfall at this popular shopping centre in Rostock.

Smooth sailing: fast, straightforward and reliable maintenance and service
Reliable maintenance and care of the media screens with moss-covered backs are another important part of the successful partnership. Regular service visits, as well as the ability to respond quickly when needed, help ensure that the units remain operational and continue to deliver value.
Patrick Schülke, Sales Manager at Green City Solutions, says about the project:
“Warnow Park in Rostock was one of the first locations where we installed our three CityBreeze units. From the outset, the partnership has been built on trust, openness and collaboration on equal terms — and that is what makes it special to this day.
Warnow Park is a true flagship centre. Frank Middendorf plays a significant role in this, with his exceptional commitment and passion for the continued development of the location. You can feel his personal dedication throughout the centre, and it makes our collaboration particularly valuable. Thank you for the regular and open communication.”
