The VeniSIA Pitch Day marked a milestone for sustainable innovations in Venice. At Green City Solutions, we had the honor of being part of this inspiring event, where we presented our vision for a greener future in urban spaces.
An Event for Sustainable Innovations
The VeniSIA Pitch Day brought together startups, researchers, and companies at the San Giobbe Economic Campus in„Venice, the oldest city of the future®“, to showcase innovative solutions addressing the most pressing environmental challenges of our time. VeniSIA itself is “a spin-off of Ca’ Foscari University of Venice” and “Venice’s deep-tech venture builder, dedicated to developing and promoting sustainable, technology-driven startups”.
Out of 7,000 applications, 16 outstanding startups were selected, including Green City Solutions, to collaborate on future-oriented topics.

Pitching for a Sustainable Future
Air pollution is one of the greatest health risks worldwide. At Green City Solutions, our mission is to sustainably improve air quality in cities through innovative moss modules. Our solution combines nature and technology to efficiently filter fine dust and pollutants from the air.
Our CEO and Co-Founder, Peter Sänger, personally attended the event to present our vision and technology during the pitch. His participation underscored our commitment to sustainable urban development and innovative solutions for improving air quality.
The VeniSIA Pitch Day provided the perfect platform to showcase our solution to an international audience of investors, experts, and partners. The exchange with them, as well as with other startups and companies working on challenges in Smart Cities, Carbon Capture & Utilization, Agritech, and Energy Generation & Storage, was particularly valuable.

Participants and Innovative Startups
In addition to Green City Solutions, other promising startups were represented, including Airbuild Inc, REVCOO, ecoLocked, Enerdrape, Blue Frontier, Inc., Sinergy Flow, Rivus Batteries, Dexory, MICROX, Omniflow® and SLY.
Furthermore, four technologies from Università Ca’ Foscari Venezia were presented through PInK – Knowledge Transfer: Cheers2life, Paolo Pavan, Alvise Perosa, and Giancarmelo Stamilla.
A Shared Vision for the Future
Beyond our pitch, we had the opportunity to connect with leading companies such as Eni Joule, Cisco, Edison, and Snam S.p.A. These partnerships are essential for further developing our technologies and bringing cleaner air to even more cities. VeniSIA expressed its gratitude to these partners for “their tireless spirit of innovation and their support, which made this extraordinary event possible”.
