Moss technology for resilient cities gains international recognition
The next milestone: following its selection among the Top 100 and Top 50, Green City Solutions has now been named one of the Top 10 companies in the QBE AcceliCITY Resilience Challenge 2026!
The global accelerator programme, led by Leading Cities und supported by the QBE Foundation, connects scalable solutions with cities and municipalities.
From more than 965 applications across 77 countries, ten companies have now been selected. They share a common goal: developing and bringing practical solutions to urban challenges such as heat, air pollution, extreme weather and resource scarcity.

Fresh, healthy air – even where space is limited
Urban heat islands, particulate pollution and insufficient air circulation can significantly affect quality of life, especially on hot days. This is precisely where our regenerative bio-air filters come in: they combine the natural filtration and cooling capabilities of mosses with smart sensor technology, creating green fresh-air oases even where conventional urban greening reaches spatial limits.

Next step: Bootcamp and Final Pitch
As one of the ten selected companies, Green City Solutions will now take part in the Challenge’s virtual bootcamp and Final Pitch Event. The focus will be on further developing our implementation strategy and pilot project, as well as exchanging ideas with international experts, cities and partners.
