Innovations for a Resilient Retail Real Estate World

At the heart of the event was the presentation of the new HAHN Retail Real Estate Report 2025/2026. Distinguished speakers such as Dr. Jörg Krämer (Commerzbank), Dr. Joseph Frechen (bulwiengesa), Dr. Jan Linsin (CBRE Germany), and Stephan Grünewald (rheingold institut) provided in-depth insights into the economic, social, and psychological frameworks shaping retail and real estate. As Handelsimmobilien Report highlighted, the market aktuell in einem neuen Zyklus – s currently entering a new cycle – bringing both opportunities and challenges for all stakeholders.

Innovations for the Real Estate Industry

In this context, Sarah Maria Schlesinger of blackprint emphasized „the vital role of innovation for the real estate sector and for retail. She brought along three entrepreneurs from her blackprint innovation hub, each presenting visionary solutions for the industry“ . The impulses for the future of real estate came from Pascal Biesenbach (viadukt GmbH), Martin Kelm (SPACEWELL | A Nemetschek Company), and Green City Solutions’ CEO Peter Sänger. For our co-founder, it was a special opportunity to present our vision of greener, healthier, and more livable urban spaces.

A „great event“, wrote Peter Sänger on LinkedIn. „During the Innovation session, we had the chance to present Green City Solutions GmbH and engage with leading experts in the real estate sector. Many thanks to Sarah Maria Schlesinger for making this possible!”“

With our bio-digital solutions, we make clean air tangible – right where people live, work, and shop.

Because sustainable retail properties are far more than physical buildings: They are future-proof places of urban supply, quality of stay, and community interaction. To ensure they remain resilient and attractive, it takes innovations that focus on climate adaptation and air quality.

Valuable Exchange and Forward-Looking Discussions

The feedback at the German Retail Property Day showd: Innovative concepts are already a key building block for the future of retail properties. Especially in times of transformation, innovation can help to turn „crises into opportunities“, as Handelsimmobilien Heute aptly put it. For us, it was truly inspiring to engage with leading voices from the real estate investment market on solutions that make cities healthier and more livable.

The industry is in transition – and those who want to actively shape this future must have the courage to innovate. We would like to thank the HAHN Group for providing a platform to discuss sustainable urban development and the pivotal role of GreenTech solutions.
