Bio-digital: Moss Filters, Smart Sensors and Digital Advertising Spaces

Green City Solutions offers a unique answer to the challenges of urban air pollution and heat: bio-air filters with the cooling effect of 81 trees on just 9 m², equipped with smart sensors that measure performance and environmental factors in real time. The modules, in the form of CityBreeze , can also serve as digital advertising spaces. Thanks to advanced sensor technology and IoT control, the impact of the moss filters is not only measurable and controllable, but optimal conditions enable weather-independent operation throughout Europe.

In a nutshell, as Companisto puts it: “Moss filters fine dust. Sensors measure the effect. And the surface generates advertising revenue.”

Growth Through Innovation and Customer Feedback

Our high-performance moss plants grow 16 times faster on our in-house moss farm than in nature. And that’s not the only thing growing:

“With the experience from over 100 completed projects, we have been able to further develop our products and business model based on customer feedback”, says Co-Founder and CIO Liang Wu.

Our bio-digital solutions are now used not only outdoors, but also in production halls, modern atriums, and shopping centers. The green advertising network climAD is also expanding: The number of sustainable advertising steles is set to rise to 60 by 2025.

Green City Solutions has reached break-even, installed over 100 bio-air filters across Europe, and is experiencing strong demand from advertising clients.
