Our Mosses Are Ready
Today, on March 20, 2025, we celebrate the astronomical beginning of spring – the time of year when the days grow longer, nature awakens, and everything comes back to life.
Fittingly, our team discovered a spring-like atmosphere at Forum Köpenick, with a fresh breeze provided by the CityBreeze, inspiring excitement for the new season and the awakening of nature.

Spring: Growth and Fresh Air
Spring symbolizes new beginnings and growth. In our moss farm, nature also shows itself in its most beautiful and lush green form. Compared to other plants, mosses have several clear advantages – especially in autumn and winter. While trees lose their leaves and slow down their activity, mosses remain green and active all year round.
As the oldest land plants on Earth, mosses are incredibly robust and require fewer nutrients, as they absorb water and nutrients directly from the air. Additionally, mosses do not rely on deep root systems, allowing them to thrive even in barren and rocky environments. They are both remarkably resilient and highly efficient. During this season, they benefit from increased moisture and often provide a “green carpet,” even when trees have already shed their leaves.
Moss Farm: Welcome to Fresh Air
In our moss farm, these small high-performance plants thrive under optimal conditions. Did you know that they can grow up to 16 times faster than in nature? This is made possible by the perfect combination of light, moisture, and nutrients. Learn more about this in our article: “Up to 16x Faster Than in Nature”.
Our mosses are not only a symbol of spring but also the heart of our multifunctional moss filters, which clean the surrounding air and noticeably cool it. With rising temperatures, our team will soon begin to “de-winter” the moss filters in outdoor areas.
