A day filled with engaging conversations, innovative projects and ample networking opportunities! The enthusiasm and passion of the attendees for innovation inspired and demonstrated that the future is in good hands, not only for us.
The Innovation Day for Small and Medium Enterprises by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (Innovationstag Mittelstand des BMWK 2023) was a resounding success for our employee, Kristin Maskow and Green City Solutions. Together with our “Wizard of Moss” – the MossCube – she shared fascinating insights about the super plant moss and our smart biotech filters with interested individuals.
At this year’s open-air event, around 300 exhibitors from all regions of Germany presented the results of their research and development projects supported by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Klimaschutz, BMWK). They exemplified the creativity and innovative strength of the medium-sized business sector. The focus in 2023 was particularly on the topics of sustainability and climate protection, digitalization and health. Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection, Dr. Robert Habeck, took the opportunity to engage in dialogue with medium-sized companies and research institutions. He subsequently commended the medium-sized business sector and its innovations, stating, “Intelligent minds and creative energy lay the foundation for our future”.
Visitors had the opportunity to witness impressive exhibits during their tour, providing glimpses of new products, processes and services developed with the support of the BMWK. This effectively showcased how the medium-sized sector, particularly during times of crisis, can strengthen entrepreneurial and societal resilience and how innovations play a crucial role in driving technological and societal progress.
In his greeting, Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection, Dr. Robert Habeck, summed it up: “The German medium-sized sector is not only the backbone but also the muscles, bones, and skin of German society.”
