“Innovations for the Real Estate Industry”
We are delighted to announce that Green City Solutions has been nominated as one of six finalist companies for the ULI PropTech Innovation Challenge. The Shortlist also includes syte, POCKET HOUSE germany, metiundo GmbH, Soul of Concrete and Acquirepad – and on 19 August, the six finalists presented their solutions for more resilient buildings, neighborhoods, and cities at Jones Lang LaSalle SE (JLL) in Frankfurt.
“Cities need solutions that deliver immediate impact. Being shortlisted for the Urban Land Institute’s PropTech Innovation Challenge demonstrates that innovative urban climate adaptation is neither a ‘nice-to-have’ nor merely a regulatory hurdle, but a crucial component of future-proof real estate development and resilient cities.
The Challenge provides the ideal platform to discuss the economic scalability of such solutions with real estate stakeholders, investors and other industry representatives.” – Peter Sänger, Managing Director Green City Solutions

Technology Meets Urban Resilience
“What an inspiring evening all about PropTech, innovation, and the future of the real estate industry!”: This year’s PropTech Innovation Challenge by the Urban Land Institute focused on technologies and business models that strengthen the resilience of properties and neighborhoods. A topic central to us: Green City Solutions’ approaches combine air purification and cooling, biodiversity, and climate adaptation with economically viable concepts for urban spaces. Our Managing Director Peter Sänger presented these at the live pitch in Frankfurt, demonstrating how smart greening delivers locally measurable effects on air quality, well-being, and microclimate.
“We would like to thank ULI and its partners for the nomination and for the opportunity to present our solution on stage at JLL. Together with the industry, this enables us to develop concrete steps towards future-proof and more liveable cities”, Peter Sänger added.
In addition to the pitches, the event featured keynotes on technology potential and a panel with industry experts – ideal conditions for advancing the implementation of urban nature-based solutions.
Networking, Scaling and Impact
Participating in the PropTech Innovation Challenge reinforces two things for us: First, it shows that solutions for air purification and climate-resilient greening are increasingly recognized as relevant PropTech innovations. Second, the event opens doors to real estate stakeholders and cooperation partners.
We would like to thank the Urban Land Institute as well as the partners JLL, PT1 and Realyze Ventures for the platform and the exchange!
If you are interested in a collaboration and our moss coolers and filters, we look forward to hearing from you!
