Advancing Urban Climate Adaptation with Moss Technology
Following our selection among the Top 100, Green City Solutions has reached the next milestone in the QBE AcceliCITY Resilience Challenge 2026: Our team has now also been selected as one of the Top 50 “Resilience Solutions” in the global accelerator program, led by Leading Cities and supported by theQBE Foundation. The program promotes scalable solutions that strengthen urban resilience to heat and environmental risks.
The selection among the Top 50 recognizes both our active participation in the program and the quality of our pilot project proposal developed for cities and municipalities:

Fresh, Cool Air as a Key to Climate Resilience
Extreme weather events, dense urban development, and insufficient air circulation are causing increasingly noticeable urban heat islands and high concentrations of particulate matter in cities. Our regenerative biotech air filters combine the filtering- and cooling performance of natural moss with smart sensor technology. This creates measurably cooler fresh-air oases in places where people are particularly affected by heat in their everyday lives.
Being selected among the Top 50 is an important confirmation for us. It demonstrates that nature-based solutions and active urban climate management are key building blocks for making urban spaces more resilient to heat stress and safeguarding local quality of life in the long term.

As one of the Top 50 companies, we will now take part in SmartUp Week. During three intensive one-on-one sessions with international industry experts and mentors, the focus will be on the tangible impact, technological innovation, and practical feasibility of our concept in a municipal context.
