Strong Partnership for Sustainable Innovation
„A big thank you to the Dahme-Spree Economic Development!”, says Green City Solutions’ CEO and Co-Founder Peter Sänger, adding: “We at Green City Solutions are incredibly grateful for the outstanding support we have received as part of our latest cooperation project with the Dahme-Spree Economic Development.
“For almost six years now, we have been proud to call Bestensee — right in the heart of Brandenburg — our home. From the very beginning, we have benefited from valuable support, excellent networking, and a great deal of encouragement. This positive experience has now reached a new and exciting level of collaboration through our current project.
It’s truly fantastic how warmly we have been welcomed in the thriving Dahme-Spree district. We look forward to many more successful years here, to exciting events, and to even closer networking, knowing that the Dahme-Spree Economic Development will always be a strong partner at our side.
A heartfelt thank you for this valuable partnership!”

„Excellent Conditions for Innovation and Collaboration“
The district of Dahme-Spreewald in Brandenburg is considered “one of the fastest-growing economic regions in the new federal states.” The core of this technology region includes the Technology and Science Park Wildau with the Technical University of Wildau, the Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Polymer Research IAP, the Center for Aerospace, the Center for Future Technologies, the Technology and Start-up Center Wildau, as well as the German Electron Synchrotron DESY in Zeuthen, which is part of the Helmholtz Association.
“I am especially pleased that we can now draw attention to our diverse offerings in such an innovative way”, she adds.
“Visitors will soon be able to use the LED screen to get an overview of upcoming events in the region and find out how to reach the more than 80 pioneering companies and research institutions based here. At the same time, the moss filter on the back of the CityBreeze provides cool, fresh air on the terrace in front of the Center for Aerospace, which is a popular meeting place, especially during the warm summer months,” she points out, highlighting the multifunctional applications. Her summary: “The CityBreeze is a win for everyone and a striking example of the multifaceted innovative strength we have here in the Dahme-Spreewald district!”

“Long Night of the Economy 2025”
One of the region’s key events is the “Long Night of the Economy” (LANGE NACHT DER WIRTSCHAFT), now taking place for the fifth time. On Friday, June 20, 2025, numerous regional companies and research institutions will open their doors from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., offering unique insights into workshops, production halls, laboratories, and more.
The best part: Not only is the Long Night of the Economy being promoted on the new CityBreeze in Wildau, but this year, Green City Solutions is also co-hosting the event together with CTM Fahrzeugbau GmbH!
As part of this “joint project of the Dahme-Spreewald district and the Dahme-Spreewald Economic Development Corporation”, you can experience in Bestensee how companies of different sizes and industries work together successfully.
During a joint tour of the neighboring company premises, you can discover how a wide variety of products and innovations are created side by side and how synergies are leveraged. Green City Solutions will provide fascinating insights into the world of mosses and their diverse applications as biofilters. From moss mats to the finished product, you can experience the entire value chain. Learn how 3D printing, digitalization, and AI are used in production, and ask your questions directly on site. Refreshments will be provided — we look forward to your visit!
Fresh Air and Digital Information – A Win for All
We are proud that, with CityBreeze, we are making another contribution to sustainable urban development and strengthening Wildau as a center of innovation. Together with our partners, we look forward to many more projects that will make the region greener, smarter, and more livable!
In addition to the new installation at Schmiedestraße 2, we are also running another project in Wildau at the gas station (blog post “Mosses at the Gas Station”), and we have already enjoyed a temporary exhibition of a bio-digital filter at the Innovation Mile 2024 in Wildau.
